Scope Of Service

Monitoring & Alerts

Tech-Assured support team monitors database hosted servers and alerts customers contacts based on the type and priority of the alert. Simultaneously our Subject Matter Experts of the database management team will troubleshoot and fix the reported issue remotely.
We use open source monitoring tools that monitor servers utilizing standard SNMP data collection, SNMP Trap receiver, and Syslog monitoring. Our internal remote access and control tools are used to perform standard operating procedures (SOPs) or advanced trouble-shooting services. We use standard or customized monitoring templates. Our monitoring templates allow us to watch uptime and functioning of services, and measure cpu, disk and memory utilization. Our team of subject matter experts verify – event logs and take appropriate action; services after server reboots; system state backup; print queues as applicable.

Version Updates & Patch Deployment

Operating system version updates, antivirus and patch updates (for Windows, open source technologies Linux/Unix or other proprietary server technologies) are done based on engagement scope defined by the client. The team of subject matter experts in Tech-Assured tests the patches in the test environment, prepares test reports, follows change management process for requests, approval and deployment. Coordination for providing downtime for updates is closely done with clients. It is followed by management and client reporting of successful deployments.

Remote Remediation, Incident Reporting & Root Cause Analysis

Tech-Assured Team will connect to the database servers remotely to troubleshoot the issues that maybe highlighted during the monitoring and alerts phase or for routine proactive maintenance. Examples of issues include high CPU utilization, system state backup failures, system down with kernel panic issues, disk failure issues etc . Besides remediation using standard operating procedures our subject matter experts also report incidents to clients along with root cause analysis with the objective of preventing future re-occurrences.
